Pre. Advance Grammar : Complex Sentence



Complex sentence contains one main clause and one subordinate clause joined by subordinate conjunction on subordinator(s).
Subordinate clauses have a function in the main clause. They are usually connected to the main clause by a subordinate conjunction such as what, that, who, how, when, where, which, if, as, so that.

For examples:


  1. As we know what he said is not important.
  2. She didn't know that he was here last night.
  3. If I were you, I would go to the party with my boyfriend.
  4. The tall girl who visited my house yesterday is my mother's friend.
  5. They don't understand how hard the life is.
  6. I have just remembered when the last time I saw him.
  7. He wonders where she lives.
  8. She is still confused which dress I should wear tomorrow.
  9. Rainna went to the contest wearing dress as she was told by the committee.
  10. I always study hard so that I could get schoolarship.
